Sometimes, chasing a dream comes with consequences you don’t expect. Last summer, I faced one of the toughest decisions of my life: to attend a family gathering I’d been dreading, or to finally embark on my long-awaited dream cruise. I chose the cruise. And the experience, while incredible, taught me lessons I’ll never forget.

But as the departure date approached, guilt crept in. Now, I plan more thoughtfully. I no longer see life as a series of trade-offs between personal desires and family obligations. Instead, I aim to find balance—sometimes chasing dreams, sometimes showing up for loved ones, and sometimes finding ways to do both. That cruise remains a highlight of my life, but it also serves as a reminder that every choice has its price.
